Multiple substitute positions available:
* Teacher's Assistant
* Student Life Counselor
* Job Coach
Although hours cannot be guaranteed, work opportunities exist as a Substitute worker. We need on-call workers to fill in for long-term and short-term absences, special projects (job coach!), and other intermittent work.
Duties:
Teacher's Assistant - Assist Classroom Teacher with instructional lesson plans and activities during the school day. (Day Shift)
Student Life Counselor - Supervise students in after-school programs and activities, act as a "dorm parent" in the student cottages, and supervise students on the bus/plane when they're transported to and from home each weekend.
Job Coach - Under the direction of the Post High School Coordinator, supervise and assist young Deaf adults when they are placed at a job site. Provide training, support, education and assist individuals with communication.
Qualifications:
* Ability to communicate proficiently in American Sign Language and written English.
* Two-year degree and one year of experience working with students/young adults.
* 3+ years of relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement.
* Ability to pass a criminal FBI background check.
