Fire Extinguisher & Utility Control
9:00-11:00 a.m. or 12:00-2:00 p.m.
Course Descriptions
Search and Rescue: Hands-on class provides instruction on safe, effective search and rescue methods. Learn basic rescuer safety, search methods and markings, basic construction practices, utility control and safe lifting of heavy objects. Bring hard hat and leather gloves. Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes to practice on the floor.
Disaster First Aid: Learn how to care for and deal with multiple injuries after a major disaster when 9-1-1 is overwhelmed or unavailable. Class meets all Labor & Industry standards for First Aid and CPR, valid for two years.
Fire Extinguisher & Utility Control: Live fire training using small, portable fire extinguishers. Two-hour class also teaches how and when to control utilities such as natural gas, water and electricity.
Registration required for all classes.
Enhance your ability to personally respond during disasters.
Excellent training for organized community groups—neighbors, friends, co-workers.
Learn essential life-saving skills.
